New Fallowfield student flats set for refusal, Manchester

A new student housing development in the centre of Fallowfield is likely to be turned down next week after a wave of objections from neighbours.

Developers want to build 28 flats across the road from the Owen’s Park halls of residence – but nearby residents have complained in their droves.

The plans would see a four-storey block of apartments built on Carrill Drive, on the car park behind Ladybarn House halls of residence.

Applicants Accrue Student Housing have already scaled back the proposals from 44 flats after objections late last year, but scores of neighbours have still demanded the latest plans be rejected…
