Gridlock fears over homes and retirement complex at Keele

Plans to build family homes and a retirement complex in a village could be given the green light by the end of the year.

Proposals by Keele University to knock down its Hawthorns halls of residence to make way for housing and retirement accommodation have been in the pipeline for two years.
