Bristol architects win Oxford Brookes university halls contract

Bristol architectrual practice GSSArchitecture has won a contract to design a £15 million student accommodation scheme for Oxford Brookes University – its third project for the university.

Harcourt Hill, in Oxford, and will provide accommodation for 346 students in two large blocks. Each student will have an individual ensuite room, and there will be shared kitchens. Both buildings will feature sustainable green roofs.

An earlier GSS student accommodation project for Oxford Brookes is reaching completion at Marston Road in Oxford. This £17 million scheme, which consists of a series of linked three- and four-storey pavilions arranged around a central quadrangle, provides an additional 358 places for both post-graduates and undergraduates.
