St Andrew’s Dock campus ‘too remote’ for students, Hull planners warn

Plans for a new student campus at Hull’s former St Andrew’s Dock are being recommended for refusal.

Submitted earlier this year, the proposals include building six new apartment blocks with 1,231 student bedrooms.The scheme also features the restoration of the derelict dock as a water feature and the demolition of a cluster of unlisted for dockside buildings. However, it excludes the former Lord Line trawler company offices that still dominate the site.

The development has been put forward by Lord Line Campus Limited after the waterfront site was acquired by North Ferriby development company Manor Property Group …
