Student flats to be built in Nottingham city centre

Fifteen new flats to house 125 students are set to be created in Castle Gate, in the city centre.

Part of the building dates back to the early 18th century, and was occupied by a legal firm, which has now relocated within the city. The flats will provide accommodation for 125 students because each will house between four and ten people.

They will include open-plan kitchens and shared bathrooms. The proposals were submitted to Nottingham City Council by Zenith Planning and Design on behalf of Nottingham Student Lettings Ltd. Councillors have now given planning consent …
