A major renovation scheme has been unveiled for the Defence School of Transport Leconfield which will see the replacement of “dilapidated” accommodation blocks.
A planning application for new student accommodation at DST Leconfield – the largest residential driver training school in the world – has been submitted by the Minidstry of Defence (MoD) to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The current student accommodation comprises eight brick buildings, built in the 1930s, and four modular blocks, which provide 1,238 bed spaces all of which the MOD say are “in dire and urgent need of replacement.” …
