Sheffield approves UK’s largest co-living scheme

Sheffield City Council has approved plans for 1,230 co-living units in the largest scheme to receive consent in the UK. Code Living’s Rockingham Street development had initially planned 1,370 units for a combination of students and non-students.

The approved development will comprise shared apartments in towers of up to 36 storeys, and will be the tallest in Sheffield.

The 0.7-acre site is 1km from the University of Sheffield and 800m from Sheffield Hallam University. It will be the first co-living scheme for Code Living, which operates large-scale circa 1,200-unit schemes in Leicester and Coventry …
