Decision due on 77-bed student accommodation near Epsom wildlife site

“Residents opposed to a plan to house more than 70 students near a wildlife sanctuary will find out early next month if their wishes will lead to it being rejected.

Supporters of the site in Mill Road, Epsom, fear disruption caused by the construction of nine three-storey buildings with associated parking will irrevocably damage the area’s treasured green corridor.

On Thursday, September 3 the councillors who sit on Epsom and Ewell Borough Council’s planning committee are due to meet to cast their votes on the sensitive subject.

The application, which would result in 77 bedroom accommodation for students, is being made by Loganberry Ltd and replaces the one it already has permission for on the same site …
