70 storeys of student and residential accommodation planned for Liverpool

A forgotten corner of industrial land on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre is set to be transformed by a major 1,005 bed student accommodation project.

Bevington Bush and its surrounding streets, which is between Scotland Road and Leeds Street, could be dramatically overhauled by the plans – which include 44 storeys of rooms spread across four blocks.

The new scheme follows an application for a separate project on a neighbouring site that would see 377 residential apartments and studios created across another three blocks.

The latest application, submitted by Bevington Developments Limited, requests permission for four blocks which would be 16, 11, nine and eight storeys tall.

Including a gym, yoga centre and courtyard the project would see a new residential area created on the northern limits of the city centre, with rooms towering above Scotland Road and the Wallasey Tunnel approach route …
