Bid launched to turn city bus depot into £20m student flats – Southampton
Plans to turn a derelict former bus depot in Southampton into a £20 million student flats complex have been filed with the city council.
The plans, first revealed in the Daily Echo earlier this year, could see the site in Portswood become a mixture of flats housing 443 students.
The developer behind the proposals has now handed in their application to the city council, but it is being opposed by some residents who say there are already enough student properties in the area …
