Watkin Jones Group makes £12.3m pre-tax profit
Bangor based builder Watkin Jones Group saw activity hold up well last year – despite chalking up lower sales and profits.
The group made a pre-tax profit for the year to September 2009 of £12.3m – down from £15.3m in 2008 – on sales which at £95.9m were £17.2m lower than the previous year.
It said work on student accommodation continued to represent a major part of its activities and the student accommodation market had stayed relatively strong during what had undoubtedly been one of the most difficult years on record for the property industry …
