Private equity fund launches new student housing firm
Private equity firm the Carlyle Group has announced the launch of a new London-focused student accommodation brand, Pure Student Living.
The new firm will be a joint venture with property specialists Generation Estates. It’ll develop a number of centrally-located residential halls, each of which will include luxury facilities such as games rooms, iMac computer suites and cinemas.
The fund’s first scheme, Pure Highbury, will contain 400 beds and is due to open in August this year. Three further developments are due to be delivered during 2013 and 2014, adding 1,800 beds to the scheme …
