Plans submitted for student flats on Plymouth pub site
The site of a derelict city centre pub could become home to nearly 200 students in a landmark £12million scheme.
A developer has submitted plans to bulldoze the boarded-up Good Companions pub in Mayflower Street to make way for a 12-storey development beside Drake Circus mall in Plymouth.
The once popular pub, known by many as ‘The Goodies’, closed in 2009. Pillar Land Securities, which built the 123-bed Peninsula Student Living flats in Derriford last year, wants to transform the plot into 177 student rooms with a cafe/bar at ground level …
