Councillors reject application to build 200 student room in Bangor

Developers who planned to build 200 student rooms in Bangor have been forced back to the drawing board after councillors rejected their planning application.

On Monday, the Gwynedd Council planning committee met to decide if Watkin Jones’ plan to construct student accommodation with 20 parking spaces at the junction between Dean Street and Gareth Road, could go ahead – voting against the plan by a majority of seven to four.
