Student housing investor eyes flotation

A Newark-headquartered property investment company which specialises in the student accommodation sector has announced its intention to float on the London Stock Exchange.

Birkin Student Homes is a newly formed business and will focus on investing in purpose-built student accommodation principally outside of London.

It has filed its intention to issue ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of £1 per ordinary share on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market. However, it has not announced how many shares it will place. The amount expected to be raised on admission and the company’s anticipated market capitalisation are also yet to be confirmed.
