More student flats are built in Plymouth than new family houses

The number of new homes sold in Plymouth fell again to just 282 in 2017 – with the prices of those houses tumbling too.

Figures produced by the Land Registry suggest the city is well below its house-building target of about 1,000 new homes a year.
